The Birth of Moment for Mom

Over the years, I've had the honor of working with countless women seeking yoga therapy for various conditions, such as anxiety, burnout, pelvic floor issues like stress incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, C-section recovery, autoimmune conditions like ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, scoliosis, and weight loss to name a few. A common thread among many of these clients was that they were also moms, navigating the complexities and demands of motherhood.

Their challenges were not just health-related but intricately tied to their identities as mothers. This personal connection resonated deeply with me. As a mom and yoga therapist, I understood their struggles on a profound level. My own journey with yoga therapy significantly influenced my life, guiding me towards becoming a yoga therapist myself.

Experiencing yoga therapy was transformative—it changed how I practice and teach yoga. The shift from viewing yoga as merely physical exercise to understanding it as a holistic practice that touches all layers of our being—physical, energetic, mental, subconscious, and spiritual—was life-changing and most impactful during my postpartum recovery. This realization made me understand that if anyone needed this multifaceted approach to self-care, it was moms.

Thus, Moment for Mom was born from my deep desire to share these powerful tools and techniques with mothers who often juggle multiple responsibilities and face various challenges simultaneously. My goal is to redefine self-care for moms—not as an added burden on their to-do list but as an integrated part of their daily lives.

Inspired by Dr. Shefali Tsabary's transformative work, I've read extensively on parenting, from the popular "Whole Brain Child" to "Raising Girls Who Like Themselves." However, nothing has impacted me more than Dr. Shefali's "Awakened Family."

Dr. Shefali's teachings, lauded by Oprah Winfrey, revolutionized my perspective on parenting. I've taken several of her courses, worked with a coach from her institute, and found the Conscious Parenting Coaching Method to be jarring (in a good way), effective (in the best way), transformative (in all my relationships), and empowering.

Combining Yoga Therapy with Conscious Parenting Coaching makes perfect sense to me. This integration offers a comprehensive approach to motherhood, addressing both the physical and emotional aspects.
